💬 Dating in America
America dating, with compatibility at the centre
If you are looking at USA dating apps, you have probably noticed how many of them feel the same: endless photos, little substance. Heartwave takes a different approach. It matches people on how they communicate, live and what they value, and it was built with privacy and safety from the start.
A different kind of dating app
Heartwave starts with your Heartprint: four parts of who you are, each from 0 to 100. Communication is how you like to talk and stay in touch. Lifestyle is your pace of life. Values are what matter most to you. Social energy is how much you recharge with people or on your own.
Every profile in Discover shows a compatibility score, with values weighted the most, and a Chemistry Check that lays out where you are in sync and where you differ. It is a conversation starter, not a verdict: who you like is always your choice.
For a country of many languages
Dating in America often means meeting people whose first language is Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Korean or something else entirely. Heartwave translates the messages you receive into the language you choose, in 23 languages, and always keeps the original underneath.
You write the way you normally write, and your match reads it in their own language. It makes it easier to be yourself from the first message.
Your location stays yours
The Map shows who is around by area, never by address. Positions are calculated on our servers in squares about 11 km across, so nobody’s exact location is ever sent to other members’ phones. You can pause your account at any time and disappear from Discover and the Map, while your chats are kept.
Get to know someone before you meet
- Rich profiles with photos, short videos, a voice intro and prompts.
- Voice and video calls with matches, inside the app, without sharing your phone number.
- Circles, Live and Stories for meeting people around shared interests.
Safer first dates
New photos and videos are checked before anyone else can see them. You can report or block in a tap, and reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Optional face verification compares a selfie with your main photo and adds a verified tick; the selfie is then deleted.
DateGuard lets you record where and when you are meeting and sets a check-in time as a reminder to tell your trusted contact you are fine. It does not contact anyone for you. If you are ever in danger, call 911. Heartwave is not an emergency service.
Every feature included
Right now every Heartwave feature is free for everyone, with no subscription: matching, translation, calls, the Map, Circles and Live.
