See who’s nearby

Areas, never addresses

The Map works in squares about 11 km across. Everyone in the same part of a city shares one spot on the map, and positions are worked out on our servers, so nobody’s exact location is ever sent to other members’ phones.

Who you’ll see

• Your matches, and the new people Discover would show you, filtered with Everyone, Matches or New people.
• Tap a spot to see who is there, then open their profile or your chat.
• People who have paused their account, and anyone either of you has blocked, never appear.

Appearing on the Map

You appear once you add your area in the app. It is used only to place you in your city area and to work out distances in Discover.
