Voice and video calls

Hearing someone’s voice, or seeing their smile, tells you more than a hundred messages. Call before you meet, right from your chat.

How it works

Open a chat with one of your matches and tap the phone or camera button at the top. Their Heartwave app rings, and you talk inside the app.

Your number stays private: calls never use or show your phone number.
Only with matches: nobody can call you unless you have matched.
Voice calls are free for everyone. Video calls come with Premium and Premium+.
Calls work in the Heartwave app on your phone.

A safer way to meet

A quick call is one of the best ways to check someone is who they say they are before you meet. If a call ever makes you uncomfortable, end it, and report or block them from the chat.
